Welcome to Washington House Publications. Here you will find the writings of Gary P. Klinger of Ephrata, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Some of the works are serious in nature while others are are meant to make the reader either think or laugh or both. All of the works presented here are in their original final draft form, however, some have been submitted and printed as letters to the editor.
In the Autumn of 2006, I became a free-lance correspondent for The Ephrata Review and The Lititz Record Express. None of the opinions or views expressed here should in any way be construed as the views or opinion of either news publication.
This is almy opinions on a while plethera of issues...and welcome to them. The name of my column springs from those who know me the best and are absolutely sure that I must have eaten lead paint chips as a kid or suffered major, irreversible brain damages. Well, the latter actually IS true, but...often when expressing thoughts on things bluntly, often irrevertently, seldom leaving much to the imagination and of course without the least bit of sarcasm, some would just look at me with that grin and say, "Son, you've got issues."
You'll also find short stories, excerpts from works in progress and maybe a few random thoughts. Visit the blog and add your own thoughts to the mess, er, works.
My first book, RAISING MOTHER is now in the pre-publication process..and may actually make it actual publication if said Mother can support the fact while in part inspired by her, this is a work of fiction. Other books are in progress: ITS A DAD'S LIFE will be the irreverent look at fatherhood through this father's eyes. LIFE IS ROUGH THEN THEY GO TO KINDERGARTEN is the irreverent look at becoming a father, beginning with some thoughts on pregnancy through a father's eyes. One will look at THE FURTHER ADVENTURES OF SPANKY which IS intended to poke fun at yours truly. I like to joke that while I don't screw up often, but when I do, it's usually a real doozie. THE FURTHER ADVENTURES takes a humorous look at some of the strangest, yet true situations I have found myself in during my lifetime. I'm also working on two books which takes a silly, thoughtful, sarastic (as if?!?), even sometimes perhaps (what else but...) irreverent look at business. OF PINHEADS AND PEE-ONS and OF WORKER BEES AND WANNA BEES are books which look at things like office politics, expose a few games and tactics we will all likely recognize, have some fun with those we all rub shoulders with or share a cubicle with or suffer through meaningless meetings with. These are books which expose all of us...yes, everone is targeted and nobody is immune from my expose on American Business.
Of course my website would not be complete without my love of history being here expressed. I have several works in progress which, Lord willing, will also be sooner or later found here.
